Wayne is a Geotechnical Engineer with more than 20 years experience in geotechnical and environmental projects, both in Tasmania and abroad.
Wayne has extensive experience in geotechnical aspects of many types of civil projects: road design, pile foundations for monopoles and bridges, dams, consolidation of embankments on soft soils, retaining walls and land stability assessments.
Wayne also has experience in investigations into geotechnical factors contributing to house damage, as well as construction monitoring of tailings dams, contaminated site assessments and environmental risk assessments.

Alan has worked as an Engineering Geologist at Tasman Geotechnics since 2009. Prior to joining Tasman Geotechnics Alan was involved in exploration for silica flour, tin and tungsten in north west Tasmania and King Island.
Alan was also involved in a research project where he investigated the thermal maturity of the Tasmania Basin and Smithton Syncline.
With Tasman Geotechnics, Alan has been involved in site classifications, landslide risk assessments, geotechnical investigations for bridges and retaining walls as well as geological surveys for proposed pipelines, road routes and karst regions.
Dr Alan Chester
David has worked as an Engineering Geologist at Tasman Geotechnics since 2018.
David spent the first part of his career working in the mining industry including periods in mine/production geology at Savage River, Avebury, Beaconsfield and Nelson Bay River.
David also spent several years working in field geophysics, principally in the goldfields of WA but also in other parts of outback Australia including QLD and SA.
David has a particular interest in GIS and spatial data, and has some experience in mobile application programming.
Since joining Tasman Geotechnics, David has worked on various projects including site classifications and landslide risk assessments.
Andrew commenced as a soils lab technician with Golder Associates in North Queensland in 2007.
In 2011 Andrew received a Diploma of Laboratory Technology.
In 2016 he relocated to Launceston and commenced work with Tasman Geotechnics where he has successfully applied his skills and knowledge as Laboratory Manager.
Lewis embarked on a new career path as a Laboratory Technician with Tasman Geotechnics in mid 2016.
Since then, Lewis has become competent in a broad range of skills ranging from field work, sampling, logging, laboratory testing and safe operation of our two drill rigs.
Lewis completed a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques in 2018.
Tina handles the Accounts Administration for Tasman Geotechnics and has been a part of the team for 3 years.
Tina has previously had administration experience in a range of office work environments from Educational Institutions to Management Consultancies.
In recent years, Tina has focused on Accounts Administration for businesses within the Building and Construction Industry.
